Senior's Week free concert

Sunday 12 March 2017
Time: 2pm
Temora Ex-Services Club
Tweet
A FREE concert will be held on Sunday March 12 at 2pm at the Ex-Services Club for Seniors Week, featuring Country Balladeer John Smith, accompanied by his wife Christine.

Born in Penrith NSW John Smith's family moved around for work commitments, eventually settling in the Adelong, Yaven Creek Area of NSW.
It was here John met and married his wife, Christine Annetts from Adelong and they have 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
From 1986 he had affiliations with several country music clubs including Tumut, Queanbeyan and Culcairn, where he still plays a very active role.

Due to his popularity he was encouraged to attend the "Rosewood Country Roundup" in 2011 where his popularity went to a new level and he was invited again, this time to be a paid guest artist in 2012. This lead to him being selected to perform at Ariah Park NSW and Leeton NSW in 2012 Country Music Festivals.
At the Rosewood Country Roundup Merv Webster, a well known, award winning bush poet and writer offered John some of his songs to record.
John then decided to record a CD. "Nothing Short of Magic" is for sale now along with 3 more CD's.
John has appeared at many country music festivals and was honoured to be a finalist at the Gidgee Coal and Bungendore Stan Coster Memorial awards. John is available to perform at country music events and other concerts. His country-ballad style and his easy going nature never fails to please a crowd.

Jeff and Joy Cornford proudly sponsor this event and we are very thankful to them for their support.
