Enlisted Soldiers

The Men Who Served

A total of 109 men enlisted from the Temora District to serve their country in World War I, drawn from the families which made up the local community. The following information has been researched and provided by the Temora Local Family History Group to pay tribute to those who fought, were wounded, or killed, in World War I.

All care and due diligence has been taken in compiling the information on both each and every family listed in these records, as well as the war record of each person. Not all information found has been included and we apologise if some information listed is found to be incorrect.

-        Neil Martin, President Temora Local and Family History Group

The records of individuals who served during World War I, specifically in the Dardanelles Campaign in 1915, will be listed below over the course of the Anzac Centenary commemorations throughout 2015, some on the 100 year anniversary of a significant date of their service – such as enlistment, injury, death or discharge – giving readers a sense of ‘real time’ activity of such an important part of local, Australian and World history from 100 years ago.
