Temora History GroupTemora History Group has been responsible for recording the history of the township itself, as well as the fringe areas around the town. Historic walks around the town centre have been compiled, with plaques noting special areas of history.

Paleface Adios ... A Pacing Phenomenon by Brian 'Sal' Kelly details the remarkable, record making racing career of the champion pacer.
Thought to have been published in 1980, the book is written with feeling and deep insight into the career of the horse 'Sal' Kelly was proud to describe as The Greatest.
Paleface Adios achieved the greatest record of any horse in the country.
At the time of publication, he had chalked up a record 86 wins and 52 placings from an equally incredible 187 excursions throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Tragically, one of Paleface's biggest admirers and author of the book, Brian 'Sal' Kelly, was killed in the Mascot plane crash on February 21, but the book, his labour of love, was published later that year.

Wings Over Temora, The Story of No 10 E.F.T.S is an historical account of the events and people involved with the Number 10 Elementry Flight Training School which was based at Temora from May 1941 to March 1946.
It was the wish of author, Ron Maslin, that the book serve as a lasting record of the part Temora played toward the great victory of the mid 1940s when Australia and much of the world was saved from a fate too horrible to contemplate during World War II. |

Originally published in 1950, The First Fifty Years of Temora was reprinted as a Year 2001 Centenary of Federation project by the Temora Heritage Committee, with grateful thanks to the family of Mr RH Webster for their permission and support.

The original publication Temora Yesterday and Today 1880-1980 was produced to coincide with the Temora Centenary, and detailed the history of the area up until 19880, including 87 family history accounts, including many of the district pioneers.
The second publication was printed in 1992, and included an update of Temora's recent history (1980-1992), compiled by Ron Maslin |

Local historian, Bill Speirs, accepted the challenge to research and write a history of Narraburra Shire Council, from November 24, 1906 to December 31, 1980.
Supported by Temora Shire Council, The Wind In Lonely Places was published in 2006 to mark the Centenary of Local Government in Temora Shire. |

A collection of stories, photos, newspaper articles and records of the Temora Fire Brigade from 1881-2010 was published as History Of The Temora Fire Brigade.
The publication marked the brigade's centenary celebrations in 2010, and was compiled by Greg Matthews AFSM. |

The book was published in October 2008 to commemorate the centenary of the opening of the Sacred Heart Church, Temora, on October 18, 1908.
It was not intended to be a history of the Sacred Heart parish, which had already been expertly done by Father Paul Bateman in 'The Church Upon The Levels'.
Rather, A Book of Memories is the life story of the church, decade by decade, expressed through the memories of its people. |

The publication developed from a talk by Dr Koch at the request of the Temora Historical Society, which was presented in 1968.
