Heritage Festival Ariah Park was the major focus of Temora Shire's participation in the 2011 National Trust Heritage Festival.
A full day of activities occurred in Ariah Park on Sunday, April 17, all in-tune with this year's theme of "Amazing Stories".
A special feature of the day was the Lachlan Valley Railmotor train which travelled from Cootamundra, picking up passengers along the way, and leaving them at Ariah Park for an opportunity to enjoy the local festivities, before the return journey later that afternoon.
An open day at Country Carriage B and B provided the chance to view the converted train carriages and a local history display.
Other activities on the day included open buildings, heritage memorabilia displays, photographic exhibition, guided village tours, themed shop window displays and audio and visual amazing stories from local pioneers.
