Combaning/Springdale History GroupThe group covers an area east of Temora, bounded in the north by Milvale Road, to the south by the Sebastopol district's boundary and then to the east of the Temora Shire boundary.
Work has been underway on the retention of the history of the Combaning/Springdale area.
A number of interpretive plaques have been installed, marking sites of historical significance, culminating in a bus tour and community celebration at Springdale Recreation Ground in the form of an old fashioned picnic day.
Now the focus of the committee is on the publication of a book covering the district's past.
All current, ex-residents or relatives of residents urged to compile or collate any historical information for the book. This information can include family history, historical landmarks and schools, community get-togethers or even old wives tales.
The committee has decided that a final cut off period for information will be Friday, 30th September, 2011.
