Bright Lights Youth Arts Workshop

Wagga Wagga Art Gallery is hosting Beck Storer, Wagga Wagga’s 2018 Enliven Public Art:
Bright Lights artist. Beck will facilitate a three (3) day intensive workshop for young local
creatives between the ages of 15 – 25 years.

Participants will explore a variety of animation broadening their visual storytelling skills in digital media, whilst having the chance to work with world leading designer Beck Storer. Beck was recently rated as one of the Top 20 Designers in the world for Event Design at the World Leading Designers A’Design International Design Awards.

What to bring:
Technical equipment will be provided with Adobe Suite software programs. Tea and coffee will be provided, however participants will need to bring their own lunch and snacks.

What you’ll learn:
• Collaborate creative ideas to construct a new projection project
• Learn and use an array of Abode Creative Cloud programs such as Photoshop and Spark
• Expand visual story telling techniques with story board development
• Understand and develop a range of creative skills including design principles, typography and     image making
• Dive in and reimage rich regional archives
• Develop research methods that are applied to a creative practice
